Payer Efforts Have Incorporated Stakeholder Support to Improve Compliance with Quality Measures

Of various strategies to improve compliance with quality measures, health plans are most likely to employ pharmacist support. The overall success of such efforts has been fairly low. Less than 40% of plans indicate that this approach has been successful.

Systems are using case management and patient intervention most frequently, but the most successful tactic by far is the use of an electronic medical record (EMR) to track health over time.
