The Associate Consultant will manage and oversee execution of research activities for large syndicated market research projects. The role is responsible to assist in deliverable and presentation development and client delivery.

Position Summary:
The Associate Consultant will manage and oversee execution of research activities for large syndicated market research projects. The role is responsible to assist in deliverable and presentation development and client delivery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Operations – 80-85% of time

  • Quantitative and qualitative pharmaceutical research project management
  • Manage development of Data Collection/Analysis Structure portion of analysis schema
  • Manage design of research tools (I.e., surveys and discussion guides)
  • Coordinate with service team members to keep research projects within budget and/or estimated timeline by anticipating, communicating and resolving issues with fielding, surveys and deliverable development
  • Assist with Interviewing clients to determine deliverable specifications
  • Manage some service deliverable project(s) with supervision
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews (45-60 minutes per interview)
  • Coordinate with service team members to keep projects within budget and/or estimated timeline by anticipating, communicating and resolving issues with fielding, surveys, deliverable development
  • Utilize research results (primary data), team input, past experience and secondary data to develop implications that will be used for deliver development
  • Develop presentations for deliverables with moderate supervision
  • Write sections of final deliverables

Client Engagement – 10-15% of time

  • Respond to client inquiries with minimal support
  • Present portions final deliverables/presentations at client meetings with supervision

 

Associate development, manage and leadership – 10-15% of time

  • Responsible to oversee and/or manage other associates project work on assigned service projects
  • Provide associates clear expectations, direction and immediate performance feedback
  • Provide training and development to associates on key customer segments and pharmaceutical clients
  • Train and educate associates on company processes, operations, culture, clients and analytic skills as it relates to their service
  • Responsible to be viewed as a resource for information and guidance by all associates and specifically Analysts and Coordinators
  • Demonstrates HSG’s Leadership Competencies within the firm
  • Champion organizational initiatives across the firm

Education & Experience Required:

  • B.S./B.A in relevant field of study
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, MPH) preferred.
  • Three-six years of pharmaceutical, medical/health industry-related experience required
  • Three plus years of market research experience required
